About us:

John Skinner, President of LG2LG, is a long time California resident with a background in Water reclamation and Environmental recycling of water. While studying waste water resources, John was able to suggest practical applications now in use in Southern California.  This valuable experience helps John direct The Green Mechanical Training and Certification program here in the Western United States.

John has applied green production formulae to the dairy industry to ensure the quality of related products. Utilization of environmentally sensitive and natural filtration systems to

eliminate bacteria and contamination from the end product is one of John’s main objectives.

As advisor and consultant to Southern California cities, John’s valuable input allowed for a 35% reduction in water usage.  While coordinating with City and County utilities, John helped increase awareness of energy efficiency and conservation.   John now lives with his family in Tulare, CA and is involved in the “Greenifying” process of Central California.

Larry Callis, a retired educator, has been involved in the Green construction industry for many years. Larry and his family built cabins in The San Bernardino Mountains and homes in the California Desert in the late 50’s and early 60’s.  The family paid close attention to building methods and materials that would allow energy efficiency and minimize wasted space.  Water conservation and temperature control limited waste of valuable water resources.

In 2002, Larry noticed a rising level of awareness regarding recycling, water and fuel conservation, and alternate forms of building houses that were energy efficient.  After actively seeking companies and organizations that were ‘Green”, Larry chose to join the Green Mechanical Council.  He became excitedly involved in Green Mech’s educational

opportunities that would equip craftsmen with the processes, procedures, and principles that are “green”.

With an emphasis on residential and commercial applications, Larry seeks to see these valuable eco-friendly principles put into practice in our communities across the Nation.  Green jobs will be provided in conjunction with green building and greenhabbing.  Education and training are the most important components of Green Building.
